Two weekends ago, my big sister Heather and bestie Jackie threw Darryl and me an amazing couples bridal shower. A few of our friends had done this kind of shower before, so once we were engaged we just knew we had to be copycats...or as it might be....copycocks? haha. (I find myself hilarious)
It was a couples shower involving one of our FAVORITE things in all the world: South Carolina Gamecock Football. So how do you incorporate this? You have a "tailgate shower." It's a really great, unique shower idea and is perfect for couples who are big sports fans.
We parked in the ETV Lot next to the stadium where we had a large lawn for corn hole and ladder golf. Jackie, my sister, Jackie's parents, and my parents worked hard to create an awesome set up consisting of canopies, balloons, amazing food, great drinks, awesome friends, and a lot of Gamecock pride.

Guess what one of the best part of having a tailgate shower is? You get TAILGATE GIFTS! From stadium seats, to coolers, to platters, to drink buckets, to cups, and tablecloths - we are seriously SET to throw the biggest, baddest tailgate of all time. I was one happy Gamecock, and Darryl was one happy adopted Gamecock who still loves the Winthrop Eagles.

We had 35 friends and family at the shower which was an unbelievable showing. There were friends from my undergrad and Darryl's undergrad, and we seriously couldn't be more thankful that they all showed up.
